About the role
Our client is a global innovation studio that helps organizations turn complex challenges into tangible solutions — from digital platforms to physical products. To strengthen their growing team, they’re looking for an Innovation Lead to drive cross-functional innovation projects from concept to launch.
As an Innovation Lead, you’ll be at the heart of the project team, the connector between strategy, design, and execution. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and strategists to ensure that each project meets both user needs and business goals.
You’ll co-lead one of the studio’s industry hubs, partnering with a Hub Lead to translate industry-specific insights into impactful and scalable innovation outcomes. Your focus will be on program management, excellence in delivery, and ensuring that every project creates measurable business value.
Key responsibilities
Analyze client innovation challenges and define opportunities through research on customer needs, market trends, and competition.
Shape and communicate clear product roadmaps and innovation strategies that align internal and external stakeholders.
Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases — from ideation and prototyping to delivery and scaling.
Use customer feedback and key product metrics (e.g., engagement, conversion, revenue) to optimize and iterate on product performance.
Ensure that deliverables meet the highest standards of quality, are delivered on time, and stay within budget.
Manage the full product lifecycle, including iterations, pivots, and sunsetting decisions.
Identify opportunities for deeper client partnerships through up- and cross-selling initiatives.
Leverage your industry expertise to guide client discussions, support pre-sales activities, and share insights internally.
Qualifications & experience
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
– Minimum 7 years of experience in an internal innovation, strategy, or project management role, or at least 6 years leading digital or creative projects for clients.
– Proven experience delivering digital products or services on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
– Strong understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and business objectives — ideally within an industry such as construction, mobility, or manufacturing.
– Skilled in design thinking, agile methodologies, and modern project management tools.
– Solid understanding of UX/UI design principles and user-centered innovation processes.
– Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
– Fluent in English and Dutch.
