Full-stack software engineer – right hand of the CTO (Tech scale-up)

Our client is on a mission to personalize children’s products globally through a scalable platform. Based in Antwerp with a view on ‘het MAS’, they are looking for an analytical, ambitious, fast-learning Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the team as the right hand of the CTO. This is a unique opportunity to help redefine an industry while working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Profile
The ideal candidate is an exceptional and highly autonomous full-stack developer who can create impactful products from scratch with business goals in mind. They are comfortable prioritizing between essential features and nice-to-haves and understand that in a small, fast-moving team, responsibilities go beyond just writing code. A strong analytical mindset, a hunger to learn, and a bias toward action are key traits.

Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of specific product areas
  • Development of the website, new features, A/B testing, analytics, and customer communication flows
  • Management of operational systems, including the ordering process and production partner integrations
  • Development of the personalization platform used by in-house creatives

Example projects

  • Rewrite a tool for creatives using Cursor agents
  • Design and execute a plan to improve Trustpilot ratings in collaboration with the founding team
  • Rebuild the frontend personalization configurator
  • Migrate to a new CRM/email system
  • Implement a new website design while optimizing for speed

Required skills

  • Strong proficiency in React and experience with full-stack applications

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in software development
  • Track record of having built successful web-based products, either professionally or independently

Work environment

The team operates out of The Beacon in Antwerp, and values in-person collaboration 2–3 days per week. Exceptional remote candidates will also be considered.
